I came in for an alignment that turned into a laundry list of things wrong with my front end suspension parts. The folks here were kind enough to take me to my car on the lift and show me exactly what was wrong. I really appreciate all of the advice they gave me. I never felt pressured to do anything and they seemed honest and willing to help.
I don't enjoy putting local companies on blast, but $1700 to replace ball joints on a Jeep Cherokee? I went in for an alignment, and they told me my ball joints were "trashed". They were going to charge me $210 EACH for a $63 part, $144 for a $37 part, and $227 for a $64 part, + labor. I understand a reasonable markup from a mechanic, but this this seems obscene? After getting their estimate and doing my homework, I went back in to see if they made a mistake, I wanted to give them a chance since they're so highly reviewed. They verified their numbers, then I showed them my numbers, and was told I'd receive a call back that day. That was 4 days ago. Went to another mechanic for a 2nd opinion, they said my ball joints were fine, and their charge would be around $900, with the same Moog parts. Do your homework folks!
