VERY NICE HOTEL. KIDS LOVED THE ROOM AND THE FACT THEY HAD THEIR OWN ROOM UPSTAIRS WAS A BONUS FOR EVERYONE! WE WILL DEFINITELY RETURN FOR ANOTHER STAY! TIPS: THERE IS NO GAME ROOM AS ADVERTISED. (KIDS WERENT TOO HAPPY ABOUT THAT) AND GET THINGS (FOOD, DRINKS, ETC.) BEFORE GOING TO ROOM IT IS A COUPLE MINUTE DRIVE TO STORES. BUT STILL WORTH THE STAY! LIKED THE ATTITUDE OF THE BREAKFAST ASSISTANT!
I’ve only been to Durango twice but stayed here both times. I love the bi-level suites. There is a bed, TV, bathroom, refrigerator, microwave, fireplace, etc. on the lower level and then a stair case that leads to an upper level with another bed and TV. This works well for my family since my daughters took over the upstairs area and watched their shows while my wife and I stayed on the lower level with our own TV and the fireplace. The hotel is a bit older but my family really enjoys staying here. Breakfast was included which is nice and had a make your own waffle station, coffee, teas, juices, cereal, an assortment of bread, jam and a toaster. Needless to say my 5 & 7 year old daughters loved the waffles! An extra bonus is the Durango Silverton railroad tracks run right behind the hotel so during the summer you can just walk out of your room and watch the train go by!
It was perfect for a family of 5, you get to see the polar express from your window if you get the track site view, the breakfast it's good, we really enjoyed our stay, just make a quick stop to get fire wood and stuff for the Smores.
We like it here !! We have been coming here for a few years now and we like the upstairs bedroom, the view , the train that we can see and waive at every time it passes, and the out side pool in the summer! They are improving the rooms, new TV, new carpets, refrigerator, and a cozy fireplace.
Nice motel. All rooms have a loft and the queen size bed was upstairs, so we slept on the double on the main floor of our suite. Good price, good location, good breakfast included.
