Our stay was very pleasant. The facility, while older, looked to be in good condition. We stayed in room 126, it had a wirlpool tub and our room was adjacent to the indoor swimming pool. The breakfast buffet was a typical breakfast buffet for a hotel, but was good. The price for the room was a little high, but the surrounding hotels had a similar price. Bottom line, it was a nice room for the night.
This is a gem of a hotel and amazing staff. Booked this hotel sight unseen and was more than impressed. In downtown Durango so easy access to everything by walking. Look forward to staying here again.
Stayed at this hotel for its proximity to the train station and it's heated pool.
Great place to stay. Walking distance to the train and lots of good places to eat. The breakfast was delicious. The staff was friendly. I would stay here whenever I was in durango. I highly recommend it.
The hotel didn't close the pool even though they knew water had not been circulated in days. No staff knew what was going on. The front desk worker did nothing even when I returned to tell him I found maintenance and got him up to date. His only reply was, "okay". Housekeeping wasn't told about our late check out and I was questioned as to when we were leaving and who I talked to.
Rooms were clean and the drinks and breakfast were nice but in the end we left disappointed by the lack of concern.
On the first night there we went to the pool and it was rather cold but said nothing. The second night it was freezing. Tried talking to the front desk but they didn't even know it was a heated pool and said it was a maintenance question but did nothing to contact them for us. We found maintenance ourselves, they found the heater was turned off and were told it would be warm by morning. We opted for late check out so our kids could could finally play in the pool but it was even colder in the morning. Once again we found maintenance (another one) and were told the pump had been broken for about 3 days.
The room was clean and comfy. Breakfast was good! Enjoyed the pool, plenty of towels. The drain was slow in shower and backed up but otherwise we had a nice stay. Parking can be difficult with larger vehicles. Location is always a plus.
