This isnt mexican food, costs are way high for a menu with just been burritos. Oh and you get to pay for chips and salsa. Lol.
The flavor was good. The tamale & taco were very good. I prefer refried beans opposed to whole. The burrito was OK because of that...I will definitely go back and try out other items. Also, the green chili has a little zip to it.
If you're truly looking for that little "hole in the wall" mpm and pop type location to eat at while in Durango, you absolutely cannot go wrong with Griegos! Owned by 3 sisters, Griegos has the most authentic taste in regards to green chili that you are going to find in all of Durango. Its a quaint little place with great staff and fast service and along with their smothered burritos, the sopapillas are top notch!!!!!!!!
Casual dining, plenty of seating, away from downtown, this place has been serving Durango for decades in a consistent manner. The prices are very modest and the food is always tasty. Bring cash because that's all they take. This is a great place to take kids with cheap kid's items and an atmosphere that tolerates even my kids!
If I could give it zero stars I would. Service was fine. The food was not. And the prices that you pay for the portion of muck were way over what cafeteria food should be. If you've been to Casa Bonita, that pretty much sums this place up. Should've went to Taco Bell a block up the street...
Don't waste money here.
