Anyhow, even while I was keeping in touch with the billing department and letting them know I was waiting for the insurance approval they turned me over to a collection agency and then dismissed my child from the practice!!
I wonder what was easier, calling the state to get my eligibility information or filing all the paperwork for collections?
The billing office is crazy!
I was waiting for my CHP insurance to be approved because my bill was covered by insurance. I talked to the billing staff on numerous occasions and asked if they could bill under my presumptive eligibility and they said NO, we don't do that.. Sad because everyone else does!
I have the easiest time getting an appointment. Twice now I was able to get in the same day I call for an appointment. The wait time has always been reasonably quick, the staff are great (!), there's always a clean and tidy waiting area, stuff for my toddler to stay busy while we wait, and I feel confident the staff are up to date on the most recent medical standards available. I wish they could be my doctor's office, too!
The practice has become to big for it's britches!! They used to be good and compassionate but they've somehow gotten the God Syndrome and now you're just treated like a dollar sign.
