I made an online reservation for a Saturday pickup rental. I left 2 voicemails with the office, asking some questions and to confirm the reservation, but got no reply, so didn't leave me with a good feeling about this rental. I showed up at the location on time and there's a note on the door saying they're closed through July 9th! The office voicemail did not indicate this closure and the online system allowed me to make a reservation for this location. This is poor communications and customer service. Very disappointed and had to scramble to find a pickup to borrow last-minute for my needs. Then, as I was heading out the door with the borrowed pickup, I got a call from the UHaul dealer out by WalMart. The person on the phone said my reservation had been transferred to her and did I still want the pickup? I received no indication (phone, text, email) that my reservation had been transferred. She was polite but I declined the reservation. UHaul in Durango in general, and the CR 250 location in particular, need to get their act together!

My husband and I have rented trailers several times and a truck once. They are very easy to work with, and we've never had a problem getting what we want when we reserve just a few days in advance. All of our rentals have been one-way, since we are moving to another state, but that has never been a problem either.
