Great place for kids to learn about science and now they have a brand new makers lab that adults will enjoy as well. Awesome food truck in the courtyard too.
For a small science center, this place is awesome! We try and support small "discovery" centers because they are more hands on and interactive. As for Powerhouse, it's a cool and funky setting (old power plant) with fun things for all ages. We expected maybe 30 minutes of activity but were there nearly an hour and a half. Great midday stop if you're coming through Durango and need a stretch break. Highly recommend.
Great museum for kids and teens! Very friendly staff and knowledgeable staff, plus you can play Kerbal Space Program with a joystick!
Small scale science center for a small town. Mostly smaller exhibit but still engaging for wide age range. Worth a visit when in Durango!
