Dr. Moore is kind and caring! and he is always Awesome !!
I just read the other reviews on Dr Moore, and just have to take the time to chime in... I have had several dentists over my lifetime, but without question, this guy and his amazing staff, are THE BEST. What originally sold me on him was his honesty. I had been to another dentist in Pagosa, who said I needed all kinds of work, like thousands and thousands of dollars worth. For months, I kinda avoided getting back in to mr Pagosa Dentist, to get the work done, as I didn’t have the money at the time. My mom had told me about Dr Moore and said she loved him (and she’s had TONS of work done on her teeth). So I ended up going in to see if he thought I needed the same things Mr Pagosa dentist did, and I ended up with a couple cavities filled and a couple hundred dollars spent (self pay, no insurance at the time). Done. I’ve been going to him ever since, I think about 7 or 8 years now. We have since moved to New Zealand, and I literally wait to have any work done, until we come back to the States, for Dr Moore to do it. I trust him, he’s always done such good work on my teeth, I’ve never had a single issue with any filling, or other work done. I love the people in his office, they are genuine, and happy to be working there from everything I have seen (which I think says a lot about the leadership there) and I just think Dr Moore is a wonderful human being, and I think Durango is lucky to have him and his adorable family in the community. If you want to be coddled and greeted with fake nicey nicey, maybe this place isn’t for you? I’d have to wonder if the people with negative comments needed more nicey nicey than just good ole dentistry and real (good) people. Oh, and he is the best at giving shots too... I’ve never had such painless shots in the mouth, he’s good! And no, I’m not a personal friend of his and didn’t know him before him being my dentist. I just really do love these guys, they’ve made going to the dentist, which I dreaded constantly, no big deal. I just couldn’t recommend them enough.
I had a horrible experience at this dental office! Dr. Moore was inconsiderate and downright rude to me! I was in a huge amount of pain before the appointment. He did little to nothing to relieve the pain and than had the nerve to tell me, exact words, " I think you are over reacting". WOW! I left in tears and in pain! What kind of doctor tells a patient they are over reacting?! There job is to access the situation and fix it, or at the least refer them to someone who can! I would never recommend this doctor! Horrendous costumer service! Horrendous behavior!
I have never been treated with such respect and most of all compassion from any office! Everyone from the receptionists to the doctor himself where amazing!!
Dr. Moore ROCKS and so does the entire team at Discount Dental!!! They provide great dental care at a great discount without compromising quality. Especially if someone is in need of dentures, they knock em out in only 1 DAY!!! Great office:)
