Good for a small town, bad compared to a global standard of coffee. Nice atmosphere, steer clear of the food. As with most, faced fierce attitude from the barista, the short one with dark shoulder length hair.
Great coffee. Comfy sofas in back. Van Morrison on the sound system. Ample seating. Small patio out back.
I love that you don't charge extra if I ask for soy or some other milk alternative. Most shops do!! Love the environment and staff too... Just wish you didn't keep the doors open all of the time (gets kind of chilly in there).
I'm a local. I work from home / at coffee shops or library, and I'd like to give The Bean regular business. But each time I've visited, I've had terrible customer service -- zero acknowledgement from the staff when waiting at the counter, baristas with their backs turned, 100% ignoring customers. Sorry, but it's pretty simple to offer good customer service at a coffee shop, and plenty of other places in town are able to. I'll go there instead.
We stopped here on our visit to Durango and ended up coming back our entire trip! Amazing coffee. Nice people. Relaxed atmosphere. And their chai tea is incredible!
