The cookies and sweets are truly underwhelming. They look amazing, but fall flat when it comes to flavor. The untrained palate would find the flavors desirable, unfortunately the depth just isn't there. One item I bought was a Shortbread Cookie with a caramel center. The caramel center is in fact, the same caramel that they use on their popcorn. For $3 or more each, a cookie should have real caramel. If you're looking for a refined taste, look elsewhere.
Had the pleasure of their food before. It was very enjoyable. Unfortunately the staff is very unhelpful and was very irritated with our call in order. My phone was breaking up and obviously my fault so she got short. We are driving through Durango this morning and asked if we could get plates and cutlery so we could continue on and eat in the vehicle. Once again that irritated her also. I'm sorry. Not everyone like to eat with their hands in a vehicle. Needless to say we didn't get plates, they decided to charge us .75 each. I guess at this point that they decided I was just a pain. And how dare I want to eat breakfast on a plate. Save yourself a rude start to your morning. Stop at many other amazing breakfast places! The crepes at the other end of town near Starbucks are not only delicious but when we have been on a tight schedule passing through Durango and needed to be able to eat in our vehicle they were very nice and understanding!
Absolutely love yellow carrot! We have NEVER gotten anything that we haven't liked! And we've been going ever since the beginning! Love the cupcakes, sandwiches, salads, cookies and thank you for all the gluten free options ♥️
I attended a women's weekend event catered by The Yellow Carrot and we are all beyond amazed at every single meal! In a group of close to 100 women I didn't hear one negative comment, which says a lot for women with impeccable taste! ;)
There are not enough good things that can be said about Sari and her team at The Yellow Carrot. They catered our 100-person wedding, and did authentic research to provide truly Gaelic-inspired dishes. The food was a true feast, and our guests, some of whom have eaten at extremely high-end venues and restaurants said it was some of the best food they had ever enjoyed. Sari brought so much excitement and genuine love to an experience that could have been stressful, and made it into something completely unforgettable and exceptional. You can not go wrong with choosing the Yellow Carrot for your event, and everyone will talk about it for months afterwards.
