Long story short, we had to fire our first florist who went back on the price and contract we discussed.
I live out of state and wanted to get flowers delivered to my girlfriend at work in Durango for Valentine's Day. I am a guy, with no clue what i am doing, so Cindy helped me decide on a nice arrangement over the phone. Since the shop was very close to my girlfriend's office she waived the delivery charge. Valentines's day was on a Sunday and she notified me that they would not be making deliveries on Sunday, so I agreed to have them delivered on Saturday. My girlfriend was not working Saturday probably because she had too much to drink Friday, but i was confident that someone would be in the office. Well i forgot that the lobby was locked on the weekends. I tried calling the office but could not get anyone to answer to let her in. Cindy offered to make the delivery on Sunday, even though she made it clear before hand that there would be no Sunday deliveries. I offered to pay the delivery fee and she politely declined and said she would be happy to do it for me. The next day she tried to make the delivery early in the morning but again there was no one at the office. I was trying to keep the surprise for my girlfriend so Cindy told me to just let her know when she would be at there. Cindy told me that the shop was closing at 3pm that day. I was slyly texting my girlfriend and communicating with Cindy via multiple phone calls as best i could about her whereabouts, but she ended up not getting to her office until 3:15 or so. Cindy stayed late to deliver flowers, for the third time, free of charge, on a Sunday, after hours, after what i assume is the busiest week of the year for a flower shop. My girlfriend, who had been mad at me for not doing anything for Valentine's Day as of 3:15pm, was extremely surprised and pleased with the beautiful bouquet of roses and lilies that Cindy had put together. Cindy went the extra mile and a half and her customer service was greatly appreciated and solely responsible for keeping me out of the dog house on Valentine's Day.
