When we where moving to Durango I was in process of purchasing a used, very high end bike on E-Bay (I've e done this s few times with great results) and had it shipped to MBS. When it arrived it had been minorly damaged in shipment, as diagnosed by MBS staff. We formulated a plan, and they flawlessly executed in my absence.
MBS is the top shop in a cycling mecca. It is definitely worth a stop in if you are visiting Durango, or making it your "go to" shop if you reside here.
John Glover helped me today with a new saddle. He was awesome. Knowledgeable, thorough, patient and went the extra mile and installed my new seat. Well done John. I'll definitely visit Mtn Bike Specialists again.
Since we have moved to Durango MBS has been my shop of choice. It s part shop and part museum, with bikes and jerseys from Durango area locals like Ned Overend, Todd Wells and Bob Roll lining the walls. Ned hangs out at the shop and their head wrench represented the US and the World Champions. All of the staff are aficionados. IME you just don't get this depth of knowledge and customer service at any shop.
Helpful and friendly staff. Service department was quick to help and recommended other shops in town when the did not have the part I needed.
I had a flat tire on my bike took it in they replaced it with in an hour very nice bike store
The staff is great, both knowledgeable and friendly. Their selection is awesome. I've always had great service when buying a bike, having mine tuned up and just talking about bikes, training or routes to ride. Any issues or concerns I've had were immediately addressed and the resolutions exceeded my expectations. I would recommend them over and over again.
