Wonderful Experience. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Great varied hot breakfasts. Our room was spacious and well appointed. You can't beat the location. Its within close walking distance of the heart of downtown. We will definitely be returning next time in town. Thank You Rochester :)
A charming piece of history. A hidden gem if you will. Quiet and close to everything. I find staying in places such as this way more appealing than the typical hotel. Friendly and accommodating staff. Fresh home made breakfast every morning. Free coffee, tea, hot cocoa, and treats in the afternoons. Spent our honeymoon here, loved every minute!
We had a great stay. The room was spacious and well decorated. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet at night. The free loaner bikes made it easy to explore the town. Parking in Durango in the evening could be a nightmare but fortunately the staff reserved us a parking spot. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
I love this place! I travel to Durango for work here and there, and the staff and owner are always so friendly and kind and really just go out of their way to take care of me. The nature of my work is such that sometimes I have to extend my stay at the last minute, and they really go above and beyond to make sure I can continue staying there. The breakfast is awesome (and the breakfast ladies are super friendly), the "secret garden" patio area is lovely, and they even have bikes you can take out for free. Rooms are well-appointed and generally quiet. If you're in a street room, you can usually hear some pedestrian traffic in the daytime, but it typically quiets down very quickly at night.
This is our second night of a three night stay. It is wonderfully situated above the main tourist area, but a short walk to Main Street, great restaurants, and the train. It is quaint, quiet, and clean. Breakfasts are delicious.
